Jeanette Faye Rstom, 99, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died peacefully Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Turner of Lutz, Fla.; son, Ronald Rstom of Hiawatha, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren, and many loving extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a spouse, George Rstom; two sons, Rory Rstom and Richard Rstom; sister, Glatha McCallum; and a brother, Paul Rorah.

Jeanette was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Emeline, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar and Mamie (Lohmeier) Rorah. On Feb. 12, 1942, Jeanette and George Rstom were united in marriage in De Witt, Iowa. Jeanette’s journey as a stylist was impressive and after many years of styling hair, she retired. She enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck at the casinos. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
