JEAN WILKINS Walker Jean LeeElla Bice Bontrager Wilkins, 94, died March 26, 2015, in Yerington, Nev. She was born March 20, 1921, near Walker, Iowa, the oldest daughter of Martin Isaac and Virginia Lee Fitzgarrald Bice. Jean received her bachelor's degree from Coe College and her master's degree from the University of Iowa. Jean taught for 20 years, retiring as the reading specialist for Linn-Mar in Marion. She married Woodrow W. Bontrager in 1941. They had two daughters, Carol Jean and Phyllis Jo. Jean married Clifford Wilkins in 1960. Jean was the pianist for her church, a quilter, a member of the Methodist church, the Mayflower Society, DAR and DUVCW. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters and their husbands, Jean Underwood and Virginia Manson. She is survived by her sister, Ruth (Bob) Arnold; daughters, Carol (Jerry) Wagers and Phyllis (Ray) Moats; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
