Jean Robertson, 85, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short illness.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg and the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
Memorials have been established for the Washington County Enrichment Foundation to assist Washington County children and families in need.

Mary Jean Freshwaters was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Willa (Gibson) Freshwaters.
Jean is survived by her husband, Robert, of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Katy Green and husband Russ of Lexington, Ky.; son, Kim Robertson and wife Colleen of Peoria, Ill.; daughter, Nancy Detweiler and husband Mike of Keota, Iowa; daughter, Sara Hauer and husband Scott of Racine, Wis.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, John Freshwaters and wife Pat of Fredricksburg, Va.; and brother, Jim Freshwaters and wife Shirley of Waterloo, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Patrick, in 2014.
