Jean McGee, 68 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held September 28, 2024 at the American Legion Post 298 in Marion from 2-5pm.
Jean was born October 23, 1955, the daughter of Harley and Dorothy (Walkner) Lazenby. Jean was hardworking, loving, and devoted to family. She loved her two sons more than anything from her marriage to Gregory McGee. Everyone knew and loved Jean and she will be missed greatly by so many people. She spent most of her years working for H.L. Company until it closed in 2002 and she spent the remaining years at Rockwell Collins.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Luke (Kayla) and Kyle McGee; her brother Ed Lazenby and her sister Kay (Mike) Rockot; her stepmother Carolyn Lazenby; her significant other Rick Reinecke and 4 grandchildren.
Jean is preceded in death by her mother and father Dorothy (Walkner) and Harley Lazenby.
