JEAN MARIE (HOMAN) JUEHRING
Milwaukee
Jean Marie (Homan) Juehring, 91, formerly of Hiawatha, passed away on Dec. 28, 2018.
Jean Marie (Homan) Juehring was born on Oct. 31, 1927, to Dr. Leo and Lillian Homan in Fremont, Neb. At an early age, Jean took to tap dancing and singing, often appearing on the radio -- tap dancing for all to hear.
During World War II her family moved
to Oxford Junction, Iowa, where Jean graduated from High School. It is also where she met her future husband, Raymond Juehring. On June 9, 1951, Jean was united in marriage in Oxford Junction, Iowa. They were married for 57 years until her husband's passing.
Jean worked at Mercy Hospital, Collins, Econofoods and Sam's Club. Jean never met a person she didn't enjoy talking to. If anyone knew Jean, she loved her children and grandchildren without compromise and, in her eyes, they could never do any wrong.
Jean lived her last five years in Milwaukee, Wis., at Alexian Village. She always would greet you with "Hi, Babe" and never would forget to say God bless you and Jesus loves you when you left.
Jean had a heart and passion for Jesus Christ. She realized in life that Jesus was God's Son and the Savior, the One to save her from hell and allow her to live in heaven forever. She was the best Mom her sons could ever ask for. We love you forever, Mama.
Burial will be alongside her husband of 57 years, Raymond E. Juehring at Shiloh Cemetary in Hiawatha, Iowa.
Suriving her are children, Steven (son) and Rhonda Juehring, Marion, Iowa, Scott Juehring (son) Pensacola, Fla., and Raymond Juehring (son) Katie Juehring, Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers; two sisters; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jean just wanted you to think about your life and that you would trust Jesus as your savior.
Thanks to Jesus Christ for taking such good care of our Mom.
