Jean Marie Anderson, 67, of Marion, died Thursday June 8, 2023, in her home from a sudden illness. Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Greg; her children, Sean (Jessica) Anderson of Kalona, Iowa, Bryan (Tara) Anderson of Marion, Iowa, and Jeremy Anderson of Austin, Texas; her siblings, Rick Kremer of Cascade, Iowa, Julie (Jim) Pflughaupt of Coggon, Iowa, and Steven (Lori) Kremer of Bismarck, Mo.; and her grandchildren, Ever, Camden, Boone, Brayden and Greyson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Dorothy Kremer; father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Gwendolyn Anderson; and brother-in-law, Rodney Anderson.
Jean was born Aug. 9, 1955, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Norbert and Dorothy (Lehman) Kremer. She married Greg L. Anderson on Aug. 21, 1976, in Dyersville, Iowa. Jean was a loving and nurturing wife, mother, and grandmother to her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She would not hesitate to help anyone in need, whether they were a stranger or someone she knew forever. She was a devoted soccer mom and grandma and loved going to sporting events for her kids and grandchildren. She expressed her love through food and caring for others, and loved to bake cookies and treats for her loved ones. Jean was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
