Jean L. White, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at the Linwood Mausoleum in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. All invited guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Jean was born on Nov. 30, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frederick George and Mary Irene (Hinkley) Couser. She graduated from high school and went on to attend the University of Iowa, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. Jean was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" White on Sept. 8, 1962. She worked at St. Luke's as an cccupational therapist until her retirement in 1996.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Brad) Powell of Center Point, Iowa; and grandchildren, Lauren McCusker of Aurora, Ill., Maelee Powell of Center Point, Joana Powell of Cedar Rapids and Lilli Powell of Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick in 2003; daughter, Terry McCusker; and brother, David Couser.
