Jaycee Payne, 17, of Marion, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor John Albertson.
Jaycee was born Aug. 20, 2001, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jeffrey and Jaclyn (Wordehoff) Payne. He was a student at Linn-Mar High School and a member of the golf team. Jaycee enjoyed playing soccer, gaming and woodworking. He was the most helpful person, never needed anything and always put others before himself. Jaycee loved his family very much and treasured the time he spent with them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father, Jeffrey (Anna) Payne of Olin; mother, Jaclyn (Jakob) Tentinger of Marion; brothers, Benjamin Tentinger, Lucas Tentinger, Cooper Tentinger and Dakota Skelton; sister, Haleigh Payne; grandmother, Marilyn Payne; and grandparents, Sheryl (Norman) Wordehoff, Barbara (Richard) Curtis and Kathleen (Bruce) Tentinger.
Jaycee was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kevin Payne.
