Jason "Jake" Lee Williams, 42, of Walford, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Fairfax. Jake was born Nov. 3, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ron and Sandy (Neal) Williams. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, Class of 1997. Jake worked as a foreman at Ken-Way Excavating. He was a very gifted mechanic, from small engines to large equipment. If it was broke, he could fix it. If it had two or four tires, he would give it a whirl. Jake was known as one of the first to help the ones who needed it. He was a longtime enthusiastic volunteer with the Fairfax and Walford Fire Departments. He was a meticulous deer hunter and loved spending time outdoors.
Jake is survived by his children, Savannah and Sawyer Williams; his parents, Ron and Sandy of Cedar Rapids; his sister, Kelly (Scott) Dahlke of Muscatine; his nephews, Dakota and Angello Dahlke; and his grandfather Gene Williams.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Denny and Helen Neal and Joyce Williams.
