Jason Clyde Hoffpauir, 38, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center. Memorial services will be at a later date.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Jennifer Scherrer; sons, Cody (Addie) and Gavin Hoffpauir; daughter, Gabrielle Scherrer; brothers, CJ and Alex Hoffpauir, Scott (Crystal) Niles, Dan (Kristin) Nothl and Dustin Carson; and sisters, Kelly (Mark) McDonald, Katie (Matt) Walton and Kristina (Tony) Simmons.
Also surviving are his father, Clyde Raymond Hoffpauir; grandmother, Kay Walton; grandson, Sebastian Hoffpauir; many nieces and nephews; countless loving cousins; and many loving aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Jane and Daniel Carson; and grandparents, Bruce and Ada Clark and Jo Mayo Sr.
Fishing was his passion. He loved the outdoors, spending time with family and cruising in his truck.
He will be deeply missed by many.
