Jason R. Dye, 40, of Marion, passed on March 10, 2017, following an extended battle with cancer.
Jason was born Oct. 31, 1976, to Gary Dye and Debbie Usher Dye. After graduating from Central Gwinnett Lawrenceville High School in Georgia, Jason returned to Marion. He most recently worked as a truck driver for LL Pelling, a job he really enjoyed.
Jason was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed basketball, golf and hanging out with friends. Jake also loved going for drives and watching movies with Andy, Nick and Dan, and spending time with his dog, Coco.
Survivors include his aunt, Sheri (Jim) Hofer of Lisbon; stepfather, Jimmy Willard; numerous cousins, stepsiblings and aunts and uncles in Iowa and Georgia; and many friends, including longtime friend, Doug Nebraska.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Barbara Dye of Delhi; and Debra Usher Willard of Toccoa, Ga.; paternal grandparents, Jack and Marnell Dye; maternal grandparents, John and Connie Usher; and his beloved uncle, Jon Usher.
Jason will be remembered for his casual, easy-going nature and gentle spirit.
