JASON DEMEYER Belle Plaine Jason Lee DeMeyer, 38, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center Center following a short illness. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hrabak Funeral Home, where there will be a rosary at 7 p.m. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Sandy DeMeyer; sister, Gina (Dave) Krahmer of Fairfax; nephews, Keith Purk and Dalton Johnson; and many close cousins, aunts and uncles. Jason was born Feb. 14, 1977, in Iowa City. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1995. He was a residential care counselor for Crest Family Services. He loved nature, the country, old American history, friends and family and Tigger. His smile and love of life will be greatly missed.
