Jason Andrew Caylor was born Aug. 12, 1970, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Keith and Suzanne (Werner) Caylor. He graduated from Brookfield Central High and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Throughout his high school and college career, he was a student-athlete, continuing with beach volleyball beyond his college years. His love for sports would continue in life, as he was an avid Hawkeye and Badger fan and loved cheering for his Green Bay Packers. He always enjoyed a good card game, especially Bridge, and was a constant supporter at his children's sporting and extracurricular events. He was united in marriage to Paula Lynn Wardenburg on Nov. 18, 2000, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City. Jason has spent his life in Iowa as a local business owner and familiar face to many; owning several local establishments, most notably Falbo Bros. Pizzeria.
His family includes his wife, Paula; their children, Madeline "Maddie," Mara, Nicholas "Nick" and Jackson "Jack;" parents, Keith Caylor (Linda) and Suzanne Jaworek, all of Arizona; siblings, Tammy Caylor Winebrenner (Matt), Brad Caylor, Jeff Caylor, Julie Caylor and half-brother, Bryan Royden, all of Arizona; mother-in-law, Ellen Wardenburg of Iowa City; and sisters-in-law, Lori Aisenbrey (Darin) of Tiffin and Julie Wardenburg of Iowa City. Jason's family also includes his numerous extended family members.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Mary Werner and Arnold and Donna Caylor, as well as his father-in-law, Richard Wardenburg, and step-father, Jim Jaworek.
Jason was a strong believer in organ and tissue donation, and his family would like everyone to consider supporting that cause and registering as a donor in his memory and giving such a selfless gift.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Jason's family and his services.
