Jannette E. Biley, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Emeritus at Silver Pines, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax.
Survivors include her children, Debbie (Charlie) Thorman of Watkins, Sandy Peshek (Rick Wedewer) of Cedar Rapids, Theresa (Wayne) Andersen of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Elizabeth) Biley of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Debbie (Rusty) Bowles of Hiawatha, Randy Biley (Chris Stewart) of Seattle, Wash., and Rodney (Charity) Biley of Zion, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Frieda (Duane) Coonrod of Cedar Rapids, Tammy Jones of Marion and Harold (Jeanette) McCormick of Fairfax; in-laws, Carol McCormick of Cedar Rapids, Lee Fair of Fairfax, Shirley Stolba of Hiawatha and Larry Biley of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wilbert Peshek and Roger Biley; sister, Ruth Ann Fair; and brother, James McCormick Jr.
Jannette was born Dec. 28, 1936, in Fairfax, Iowa, daughter of James and Adria (Coleman) McCormick Sr. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1955. On June 12, 1955, she married Wilbert Peshek. He later died in 1962. On Oct. 17, 1963, she married Roger Biley in Vinton. Jannette enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, traveling and collecting lighthouses.
