Janice M. Heineman, 90, of Readlyn, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly.
Janice was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., on March 16, 1926, the daughter of Walter R. and Hulda S. (Kehe) Meier. She graduated from Readlyn High School in 1943. Janice was united in marriage to Manferd Heineman on Oct. 8, 1948, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Readlyn. Manferd died July 7, 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne K. Heineman and her special friend, Mike Achenbach, of Marengo; and one brother, Jerry (Julie) Meier of Orlando, Fla.
She was preceded in death, her husband; a son, Bruce Heineman; and her brother, Jack Meier.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and burial will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, both in Readlyn. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Readlyn.
