She received a home economics degree at Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. Jan worked as a product demonstrator for Ohio Electric in Fostoria. She cherished her summers at the family cabin on Seagull Lake in northern Minnesota. Reading, cross stitching and baking cookies for her grandchildren were all activities that Jan enjoyed.
