Janet Mootz, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Paul Baldwin will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where a parish vigil service will begin at 4 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday after 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Surviving is her husband, LeeRoy; three children, Angela (Brian) Ward, Melbourne, Fla., Kristi (Joe) Goetz and Lynn (Lisa) Mootz, both of Monticello; four grandchildren, Erin and Katie Ward, Jesse Goetz and Jonathon Mootz; and her sister, Marian (Bill) Vaughn, Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous.
