Janet McKinley Hilmer, 73, of Walker, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, at Walker United Methodist Church. Family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the church. Burial: Walker Cemetery. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Crema-tion Service, Center Point.
Survivors include her children, Timothy (Kimberly) Dudley, Todd (Michelle) Dudley and Rodney (Sandy) Dudley, all of Walker; 10 grand-children; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Fred (Shelley) McKinley of Coral Springs, Fla., Mike (Jean) McKinley of Sherrills Ford, N.C., and Cheryl (Dan) Elsbernd and Tony (Mandy) McKinley, both of Walker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janet was born June 23, 1941, in Walker, Iowa, daughter of Clifford and Lola (LeVelle) McKinley. She graduated from Walker High School. Janet worked for Rockwell Collins, then later became a stay-at-home mother to raise her children. She then worked at Cromers in Vinton and at the Benton County Home as a health aide.
Janet was a member of Walker United Methodist Church and Spencer's Grove Ladies Club. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, flea markets and garage sales.
