Janet Kay Lasche Bolen, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital following a sudden illness. Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Duane; three adoring cats; mother, Joan; sisters, Carol (Marty) Ries, Doris (Mike) Ries, Linda Baker and Connie (Terry) Domenick; brothers, Dave (Penny) Lasche and Kevin Lasche; sister-in-law, Bonnie Cramer; stepchildren, Jason Bolen and Michael Bolen and their spouses and children; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Lasche.
Janet was born Nov. 15, 1954, in Dubuque, the daughter of Earl and Joan Fessler Lasche. On Feb. 10, 2002, she married Duane Bolen.
Janet enjoyed her jobs at Mercy Medical Center and Transamerica. In her free time, she liked weekend getaways, spoiling her cats, and taking club tractor rides exploring new towns with Duane.
