Jane Nelson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died on July 2, 2024. She was raised in Clear Lake, Iowa and had a lifelong passion as a master potter. To help make ceramic and other arts affordable and available for all age groups, she formed the Ambroz Arts Advisory Board. As Director of the Arts at the former Ambroz Recreation Center from 1975 to 2007, she led community arts fundraisers, applied for grants and was instrumental in building the Ceramic Center to fulfill her vision.
