Jane Ann LeMonnier, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Liberal, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 201 1st Avenue in Hiawatha, Iowa, where a visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the service time. A Private Burial will be held at Carroll City Cemetery in Carroll, Iowa.
Jane was born on September 25, 1948, in Carroll, the daughter of Orval and Loraine (Jessen) Mobley. She was a 1966 graduate of Carroll High School and went on to pursue her passion for education at Northwest Missouri State University, where she earned her master's degree in early education. A dedicated educator, Jane worked as a first-grade teacher at various schools in Missouri and Kansas.
Jane's commitment extended beyond the classroom; she was a lifelong member of Lutheran churches in Kansas and Missouri, and most recently at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha, where she spent time fostering a sense of community and sharing her faith.
Jane is survived and lovingly remembered by her brother, Roger Mobley; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Ann) Mobley, Chris (Brad) Mead, Cindy (Lloyd) Graves, Colleen (David) Hoffman, Beth (John) Suter, Dale (Kathy) Mobley, Carol (Chris) Rowe, Richard (Sarah) Mobley, and Kim (Bill) Snitker; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Mobley and Jan Mobley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon and John Mobley; and sister-in-law, Nancy Mobley.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor her years of dedication to helping students, the family has respectfully requested that any memorials be directed to the family to benefit local charities that provides school supplies for children.
