Jamie Daniel Coquyt was born Nov. 14, 1973, in Canby, Minn., to Dan and Pam (Pesch) Coquyt. Jamie was a 1992 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and received his bachelor's degree in history from Buena Vista University in 1996. He later earned his master's degree from Viterbo University.
On Dec. 7, 1996, Jamie was united in marriage to Missy (Klusmeier) in Fairmont. They were blessed with two amazing children, Kaylee and Noah. Jamie began his teaching career in 1996 at Ballard Community Schools in Huxley as a high school history teacher.
