Jamia P. "Jim" Daily, 86, of Anamosa, died peacefully March 11, 2022, at Mercy Hallmar. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at St. Patrick's Church in Anamosa.
Jamia is survived by her loving husband, Frank; three daughters, Teri Lynn (Dean) Legg of Clive, Susan Marie (Dan) VanWoert and Erin Frances (Terry) Stanford of Cedar Rapids; and two sons, Curtis James (Valerie) Daily of Anamosa and Thomas Vincent (Gail) Daily of Gurnee, Ill; also surviving are 10 wonderful grandchildren and two fantastic great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Duck" and Vernice (Vincent) Thompson.
Jamia graduated from Anamosa High School in 1953 and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She married Frank Daily on November 20, 1954, and they established residence in Anamosa. She and Frank were both employed by Collins Radio/Rockwell for many years before their retirement in 1991.
Jamia was an excellent mother, wife, neighbor, friend, cook, cookbook author, seamstress and homemaker. She will be remembered and greatly missed by many.
Her family is especially grateful for the dedicated and compassionate care she received at Hallmar.
