JAMES "JIM" WUNDER

James S. Wunder, 66, of Anamosa, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa. Following the luncheon at the church, a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Wapsipinicon Country Club in Anamosa.
Jim was born Oct. 7, 1949, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Bill and Eleanor (Renk) Wunder. He graduated from Anamosa High School. Jim was united in marriage to Beverly Cox on Nov. 24, 1989, in Anamosa. His past employment was Weber Stone Company and owner of Stone Concepts. Currently, Jim was employed at Securitas and Jones County Landfill.
He was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Wapsipinicon Country Club in Anamosa, where he shares the course record. He enjoyed golf, crosswords, cooking Sunday morning breakfast, watching Fox News and babysitting his grandchildren. Jim was also a train enthusiast. He was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren, and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Wunder of Anamosa; two children, Chad Landas of Hopkinton and Katie (Ryan) Hall of Anamosa; four grandchildren, Ashlynn Brown, Isabel Landas, Tate Hall and Miles Hall; four siblings, Tom (Joyce) Wunder of Smithfield, Va., Bill (Louise) Wunder of Iowa City, John (Judy) Wunder of Omaha and Mary (Roger) Norton of Cedar Rapids; as well as many dear nieces, nephews and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, the Rev. Louis Wunder; and father-in-law, Joe Cox.
Memorial donations in Jim's name may be directed to the family.
