James Ernest Terhune, 56, passed away. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with visitation one hour before the service. Inurnment will be at Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy Mulholland of Marion; and stepfather, Jim of Oelwein; his father, Ernest Terhune and stepmother, Linda of Shepherdsville, Ky.; sister, Nancy (Greg) Kintzle of Delhi; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Terhune of Canton, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Terhune; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
James was born Jan. 5, 1959, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ernest Terhune and Margaret "Peggy" (Murray) Terhune. He graduated from Washington High School. James was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many. In his group home, he worked at the Options Learning Center. He then moved to Davenport and lived at REM. James loved playing pool, bowling, birthday parties, woodworking and watching T.V.
