James Stanerson died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Mercy Iowa City at the age of 65 years. Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery, north of Conroy. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A general memorial has been established.

James is survived by his wife, Linda of Conroy; three daughters, Vlonda (Nick) Nunemaker of Cedar Rapids, Vlisha Stanerson of Fort Collins, Colo., and Vanessa Stanerson of Walford; three grandchildren, Jacob, Cora and James; his mother, Elizabeth Stanerson of Williamsburg; and two brothers, John (Eileen) Stanerson of Devner, Colo., and David (Susie) Stanerson of Conroy.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother Philip and nephew Clint Lawrence.
