JAMES S. LEFEBURE
Surprise, Ariz.
James S. Lefebure, 77, of Surprise, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was cremated and no services are planned.
James is survived by his wife, Carole Nieto Lefebure; children, Kimberly Jones (Hugh), Julie Sobhawongse and Donna Kemp (Joel); nine grandsons, one granddaughter and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Lefebure; and sisters, Linda Lefebure, Debra Cleppe (Bob) and Jody Rudd (Tom). He was preceded in death by his parents.
James was born Aug. 17, 1944, the son of John and Beth Veverka Lefebure. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier The Oriskany. He married Patricia DeWald in April 1964; they later divorced. He moved to California in 1980, then moved to Surprise, Ariz., in 2004. He married Carole Nieto in May 2005.
