James “Jim” Robert Parish Jr., 59, born June 27, 1964, in Charles City, Iowa, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Mercy West Des Moines.
Jim graduated from Metro High School of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Later in life he studied at Kirkwood community college. Jim’s hobbies included: fishing, cook-outs, and online poker.
Jim is survived by his Son, James Robert Parish III, 27; Grandchildren, Elliot Wendling, 15, Everett Wendling, 11, Emmett Parish, 5; Siblings, Regina Burnett, Selina Parish-Logan, Terina Luse-Hemminger, Delbert Parish, Verina Williams; as well as countless other loved ones. Previously departed loved ones include James Robert Parish Sr., Father; Leona Marie (King) Parish, Mother.
