JAMES R. "JIM" PHIPPS

James R. "Jim" Phipps, 73, of Iowa City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Holden Cancer Center at UIHC or the American Diabetes Association.
Jim worked for 42 years for General Pest Control in Iowa City.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; sons, Jerry Phipps (Sarah) of Cedar Rapids, Ed Phipps of North Liberty, Mick Phipps and Bob Phipps, both of Coralville.
