JAMES P. LAGE

James P. Lage, 69, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. The family will receive relatives and friends two hours before the service beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials if desired be directed to the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
Jim was born June 14, 1947, to Joseph and Patricia Rosburg Lage. He was raised and attended schools in the Kingsley, Iowa, area. He married Cindy Techau on June 24, 1989.
Jim spent most of his life as a truck driver, driving for several companies during his career. He took great pride in maintaining his yard and garden, though his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim will be missed by his wife of 27 years, Cindy; stepdaughters, Angela (Dominic) Frey of Minneapolis and Nicole Dickerson of Des Moines; grandchildren, Riley and Tyler Dickerson; four brothers; and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
