James “Jim” Francis Kessler, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at Prairie Hills. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home & Cremation Services is caring for Jim and his family.
Jim is survived by his brother, John (Amy) Kessler of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Kessler.
Jim was born on March 30, 1953, the son of Clarence and Cecialia Lynch Kessler, in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1971. He worked as a utility aid for Quaker Oats for over 30 years before retiring in 2019.
Jim enjoyed reading in his spare time and watching old T.V. shows.
