JAMES "JIM" RICHARD BREINER

James "Jim" Richard Breiner, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ludmila Catholic Church by Deacon Jim Burger. Burial: St. John Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Alexander Breiner (Shelby) of Iowa City, Andrew Kness (Stacy), Emily Kness and Margaret (Travis) Limkemann, all of Cedar Rapids, and Josephine Kness (Alan) of Vernon N.J.; nephew, Jason Madden of Marion; two brothers, Jeffrey (Ling Shi) Breiner and Joel (Chemene) Breiner; father, Richard (Georgene) Breiner; 13 grandchildren, Jacob, Abbi, Caleb, Tim, Allie, Kaylee, Remmi, Noah, Olivia, Rhowin, Zackary, Harper and Nathanael; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Breiner; brother, Jason Breiner; and grandson, Daniel Kness.
Jim was born May 14, 1962, in Des Moines, the son of Richard and Naomi Pageler Breiner. Jim was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, fisherman and BBQ master. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was very well liked and loved to make people laugh. Jim's family was a very important part of his life and they will miss him dearly.
