JAMES "JAMEY" HAMILTON
Cedar Rapids
James "Jamey" Hamilton, 46, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017, at home. A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be on Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Riverside.
Jamey was born Jan. 15, 1971, the son of Chuck and Betty (Watkinson) Hamilton. He graduated in 1990 from Linn-Mar High School, Marion. Jamey loved being outdoors and would spend his time hunting, fishing and camping. He was a dedicated Cubs and Hawkeyes fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Florence Hamilton; grandfather, Walter Watkinson; and nephew, Brant Hamilton.
Left to cherish Jamey's memories are his parents; brother, Craig (Julie) Hamilton of Earlham; sister, Jen Hamilton of Arcata, Calif.; grandmother, Dorothy Watkinson of Riverside; nephews, Bradley, Braydon and Brodie of Earlham; and special dogs, Roscoe and Daisy.
A memorial fund has been established.
