Jim Forcht, 66, of Halls, Tenn., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in
Jackson, Tenn.
Jim was born March 31, 1948, in Menlo, Iowa, the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Opal (Cline) Forcht. He was employed for most of his life as a heavy equipment operator.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sharilyn (Merkel) Forcht; a daughter, Cassie and husband William Wessels of Cedar Rapids; a son, Craig and wife Dixie Forcht of Chelsea; a sister, Juanita Gilman of Stuart; three brothers, Bernard Forcht of Fruitland Park, Fla., Billy Forcht of Tracy, Iowa, and Richard Forcht of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
