Jim was born on Aug. 20, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Loyal and Jeanette Pope Robinson. He married Debbie Hill on June 29, 1991. Jim enjoyed being a manager at Econofoods and Hy-Vee Drug Store. Jim was very proud of the business he created where he taught people how to trade futures, stocks and commodities.
In his younger years, Jim enjoyed playing basketball at Kennedy High School, and working on his father's milk business in Iowa City.
Jim loved his family most of all. On Sundays, you could find him at his parents' house, surrounded by family. His family's fondest memories revolve around Jim singing and playing his guitar. Jim's sense of humor was contagious and his smile brought life to the room.
Jim will be greatly missed by all of the people who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; son, James; two daughters, Becky and Jessie Robinson; his mother, Jeanette; two brothers, Jerry (Jeri) and Bob (Barb); sister, Debbie Sivertsen; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim is reunited in heaven with his father; and a brother, Dwight.
