James D. Cubbage, 67, of Lisbon, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, in Cedar Rapids. Private family burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include his daughter, Candi (Richard) McMorran; grandchildren, Callie, Cara and Crista McMorran; mother, Alice M. Umbdenstock; and half brother, Joe Umbdenstock.
James was born Jan. 29, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, to Dacil and Alice (Young) Cubbage. He was self-employed, working in lawn care and tree service. He enjoyed everything cars, including racing them and working on them.
James' family would like to extend a special thank- you to Deb Jones, who never failed to be by his side every day, Luke Blinks, and Brandon Sauer, who helped James throughout his illness.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Howard Umbdenstock; and half brothers, Dacil Jr., Dean and Dudley Cubbage and John Umbdenstock.
