The Rev. James L. Blocklinger, 74, of Dubuque, passed away at 3:48 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Stonehill Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Church, 2921 Central Ave., with Archbishop Most Rev. Michael O. Jackels, the Rev. Brian M. Dellaert and numerous priests from the Archdiocese concele-brating. To celebrate
Father Jim's life, friends may visit from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where a parish wake service will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also visit from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Behr Funeral Home in Dubuque is in charge of arrangements.
