Jade Jon Myrton, 42, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at Echo Hill Presbyterian Church, 9000 C Ave., Marion, by Pastor Nathan Williams and Stacie Eastman. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at
the church. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Jade was born July 16, 1973, the son of Gary and Pat Myrton, and joined brother, Chad; and later their sister, Amber, was born. He grew up mostly in the town of Aurora, Iowa, where they planted roots in small-town life.
If you got the opportunity to really know Jade, you would have learned he was always making sure everyone around him was happy, had what they needed and were taken care of.
Jade was preceded in death by his father, Gary; his grandparents; and many family and friends.
Jade is survived by his mother, Pat of Aurora; brother, Chad of Aurora; sister, Amber (Jeff) Van Ree of Brandon; niece, Brezlyn; nephew, Brondyn; partner, Cory Tenney of Cedar Rapids; and many family and friends.
Jade left our world after a very strong fight with cancer. He will always be remembered with a smile on his face, a song in his heart and saying, "one day more is all we need."
