Jacqueline Vacek, 94, of Olin, passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Anamosa Care Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin. A visitation will be held prior to her service from 9 to 11 a.m. at Dawson Funeral Services. Burial will be held at the Mayflower Cemetery.
Jacqueline Jellison Vacek was born on March 6, 1927, in Marion, Iowa, to John F. and Lillian (Dennis) Jellison. On Dec. 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to Vincent Vacek in Iowa. She was a volunteer at the Olin Senior Dining Center. Jacqueline enjoyed making meals and taking care of her family.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jean (Thomas) Ellison of Robins, John Vacek of Olin and David Vacek of Olin; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Joe; and twin sister, Jeraldine.
