Jacqueline T. O'Connell, 86, died Friday, May 16, 2014, following a long illness. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
Marion, by
the Rev. David O'Connor. Visitation with family one hour before the service.
Survivors include three daughters and their spouses, Marie (Steve) DeVries, Colleen (Vi) Ahomana and Carol (Mark) Blomberg; two sons and their spouses, Steve (Pat) O'Connell and Mark (Becky) O'Connell; one brother and spouse, Tom (Lynn) Garner; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack O'Connell; parents, Harold and Florence Garner; and two brothers, George and Joe.
Jackie was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Lansing, Iowa. She attended Clark College and married John "Jack" O'Connell on Nov. 8, 1947. She was a homemaker and for many years sold Avon products.
Instead of flowers,
memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy or charity of choice.
