Jacqueline "Jackie" M. Beuter Ebling, 52, of Iowa City, passed peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Aug. 6, 2014, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with Father Ed Fitzpatrick officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the Jacqueline Ebling Memorial Fund has been established.
Please refrain from wearing fragrances to the service.
Jackie was born Sept. 6, 1961, in Iowa City, the daughter of Nick and Audery Musel Beuter. In 1979, she graduated from Solon High School and received an associate degree in horticulture from Kirkwood Community College. Jackie was an area florist for many years. On June 3, 1988, Jackie married Randy Ebling at St. Bridget's Church in Nolan Settlement.
Jackie's greatest love was her husband and daughter! She enjoyed her family, flowers, hiking, traveling with family, her dog, Snowball, music and dancing.
She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. We all know her gentle kind spirit and strong courage!
Jackie had been a volunteer at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Jackie leaves behind her loving husband, Randy Ebling of Iowa City; and their beautiful daughter, Carissa; her parents, Nick and Audery Beuter of Iowa City; her five siblings, Judy Beuter and Don Beuter, both of Solon, Terry Beuter and Tim (Robyn) Beuter, both of Iowa City, and Mary Beuter of Dike; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve Ebling of Council Bluffs, Cynthia Siemons of Greene, Richard Ebling of Dougherty and Cathy Wright of Sioux City; nieces and nephews, Joe, Meagan, Morgan, Max, Elizabeth, Dan, Jason, Shawn, Stacy, Nathan, Tony, Tina, Nikki, Nick, Jennifer, Brianna, Katy, Derrick, Brent and Jeff; and numerous extended family.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Rose and Warren Ebling; her brother-in-law, Kelly Ebling; and grandparents, Joe and Elsie Musel and Nick and Margaret Beuter.
