Jacobson, Sawyer Elijah
Sawyer Elijah Jacobson, 3, of Kahoka, Mo., died in a one vehicle accident east of Kahoka on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.
Sawyer was born March 13, 2009, in Hannibal, Mo., a son of Jason and Lora Tate Jacobson.
He is survived by his parents, Jason and Lora of Kahoka; a brother, Lance Newton Jacobson of the home; grandparents, Ernest and Lois Jacobson of Urbana and Paul and Barbara Tate of Wright City, Mo.; great-grandparents, Bob and Sharon Bruder of Sun City, Calif., and John and Janet Tate of Claremont, Calif.; aunts and uncles, Jerri (Mrs. Charlie) Ondraschak of Marion, John Jacobson and fiancee Lisa Schulze of Center Point, John Paul (Sarah) Tate of High Ridge, Mo., Cheryl (Mrs. Ryan) Hatch of Chicago and Gorden Tate and fiancee Rebekah Kindt of Wright City, Mo.; also great-aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Sawyer loved music and playing games, trucks, Lincoln Logs and teaching his little brother about things. He loved helping his dad and recently had went trapping with him. Being outside was one of his favorite things and he loved to hunt in his yard and throughout his house. He loved to color and was starting to learn his letters. He was curious about things and absorbed everything around him, including how to take things apart and try to figure out how they worked. He especially loved his brother, Lance, and playing with his church friends and cousins. He was a member of Awanas and of Story Hour at the library. Three of his favorite shows were “Curious George,” “Thomas the Train” and “Bob the Builder,” all of which fit his personality.
Sawyer was a precocious, exuberant, energetic “Big Boy” who loved life, adored his little brother and was always excited about “going bye bye.”
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the First Baptist Church in Kahoka with Pastor Lonnie Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery. Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka after noon Friday with family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
