Jackson, Andrea M.
Andrea M. Jackson, 53, of Atkins, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids, following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may visit with the family after 11 a.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, David; son, Douglas, and daughters, Kathryn and Emily Jackson, all of Atkins; parents, Ezekiel and Barbara Isais of East Moline, Ill.; and siblings, Stephanie Roy of Davenport, Ezekiel Isais of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Christine Paets of Orion, Ill., and Albert Isais of Orange City, Fla.
Andrea Marie Jackson was born Aug. 11, 1960, in Davenport, the daughter of Ezekiel and Barbara Garcia Isais. She graduated in 1986 from Illinois State, with a B.S. degree in education. She taught for 13 years at Norway School and Benton Community. She also owned her own in home day care for many years. She married David Eugene Jackson on June 27, 1987, in East Moline, Ill. She was an avid hockey fan and loved to scrapbook.
Memorials may be directed to the Ed and Joan Hemphill Hospice Center at St. Luke's Hospital.
