Jack Winter, 77, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Saturday, November 22. In accordance with his wishes, he donated his tissue and eyes to the Iowa Donor Network and was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held later date. The family is being assisted by Cedar Memorial.
Jack was born May 2, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Dwight and Doris Winter. Jack married Ann Johnston of Tipton, and after 23 years of marriage divorced. Together they welcomed two daughters, Shannon and Erin. He served the City of Cedar Rapids as a police officer for 30 years. Upon his well-deserved retirement, Jack continued his passion of buying and selling antiques.
Survivors include daughters Shannon Winter, Erin (Mark) Churchill, grandchildren Maggie and Cooper Churchill, former wife Ann Winter, and beloved Golden Retrievers, Baily and Willow.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and Golden Retrievers, Nickie, Maty and Macy.
