Jack W. McDonough of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Per Jack's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Arrangements are by Stewart Baxter Funeral and
Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Fred) Mulholland; granddaughter, Ashley (Tracy Frondle) Rodriguez; great-grandsons, Tyler and Trenton; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bea Payton, George Welsh and Maralene James.
Jack was born June 14, 1934, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Dewey and Elsie (Baker) McDonough. On March 21, 1959, he married to Myrna (Switzer) McDonough.
Jack served his country proudly in the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion, VFW, Eagles and Masonic Lodge. He was a foreman at E. Cohen and Son for 28 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrna McDonough; sister, Connie Denny; and brothers; Bobby, Merle and Everett McDonough.
Jack will be greatly missed by family and friends.
