Jack Kline Hixon, 82, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Mercy Iowa City following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Nichols Christian Church in Nichols, with the Rev. Corrine Welsch officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Nichols Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City.
Jack is survived by his wife, Charlene; three stepsons, Keith M. Meacham of Muscatine, Chris (Diane) Meacham of Nichols and Craig A. Meacham of Iowa City; four grandchildren, Craig (Daphne), Sepal (Joshua), Jayne and Andre; and one great-granddaughter, Seraphina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved German shepherds.
