Ivan L. Burmeister, 90, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Oaknoll Retirement Residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at First United Methodist Church in Iowa City (Sunday parking ordinance will be in effect for streets around the church.). A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Private family burial services will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ivan's memory to The Appalachian Project, c/o First United Methodist Church; Oaknoll Foundation; or Optimist Club of Iowa City.
