Ivah Leora Warrick (Roemerman), 93, of Robins, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, after a long battle with dementia. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Leora was born on April 19, 1930, and raised in Blakesburg, Iowa. She met and married Gerald (Gabe) Warrick in 1948. They moved to Marion in 1951. They celebrated 53 years of a wonderful marriage before his passing in 2002. Leora retired from Wells Fargo Bank. She was a member of Marion Christian Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Warrick; her daughter, Vicki (Tim) Eichhorst; her grandchildren, Angela (Cindy) Eichhorst-Clark, Allyson (Donald) Kearney, Ashlea (Michael) Faulkner, and Gabriel Warrick. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Martha Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald; daughter-in-law, Jill Warrick; and her siblings, Irene, Mary Alice, Henry Jr., Marjorie, and Donald.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Leora was an avid Hawkeyes fan, she enjoyed walking daily, playing cards, and loved watching her grandkids’ activities. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Leora will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff at Emery Place and Hospice of Mercy for the loving care they gave Leora.
A memorial service will be held for her immediate family.
