Iva Jean “Sally” Hagerman, 103, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Central Church of Christ, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, Iowa.
Sally was born on September 28, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Clarence and Vera (Patrick) Waterbury. She graduated from Toddville High School in 1939. Sally was united in marriage to Dick Hagerman on March 21, 1942, in Cedar Rapids. She was a very active lifelong member of Central Church of Christ. Sally was an avid golfer and bowler, and a skilled seamstress. Sally and Dick enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States. She enjoyed tending to her beautiful garden and cheering on the Hawkeyes and the Cubs.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Hagerman and his wife, Jill, and Jim Hagerman and his wife, Alice; her daughter, Patty Greaser; grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Kalli, Nikki, Kelly, Michael, and Mitchell; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathryn Thede.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Bob Waterbury; and son-in-law, Gregg Greaser.
