ISABELLA "BELLA" NICOLE SEVERSON

Isabella "Bella" Nicole Severson, 13, together with her sister, Selena Rose Apodaca, 16, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, following a tragic car accident. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at River of Life Church, 3801 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the church by Pastor Steve Irwin. Cremation will follow services. A private committal service will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion.

Survivors include her mother, Jennifer R. Perez of Belle Plaine; her father, Elliott R. Severson of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Elysia Severson and Mia Perez of Belle Plaine; a brother, Elijah Morris of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandmother, Tamara Johnson of Marion; maternal grandfather, Bill (Cathy) Van Nevel of Belle Plaine; paternal grandmother, Olivia Vega of Texas; maternal great-grandmother, Cella Van Nevel of Belle Plaine; and maternal great-grandfather, Dick Renzo of Traer.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Selena Apodaca; and her maternal great-grandmother, Nancy Renzo.

Isabella was born Oct. 22, 2003, the daughter of Elliott Severson and Jennifer (Van Nevel) Perez. She was in the seventh grade at Excelsior Middle School in Marion. Bella's uniqueness and everchanging hair color will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jenny Perez to assist with ongoing expenses.
